Great if both parents attend, but fine if only one can come

Parenting in today’s society can be stressful. Often that stress impacts our relationships. It’s hard to find time to meet the emotional and physical needs of our children, take care of bills and home, have time for work and some semblance of a social life, take care of our own health, and somehow fit in time to connect as a couple! And, we each came to parenting with our own personal emotional backpack. No wonder we find ourselves at odds with each other or feeling like we’re parenting solo!!

You can put systems in place so your parenting journey feels more together, more enjoyable, and more supportive.

During this interactive class we’ll discuss:

  • Handling parenting triggers and what to do when one (or both) parents’ behavior goes off track
  • Learn what the other person actually needs to feel supported
  • The factors in our society that erode our sense of connection as a team, how to spot and address them
  • Rituals and traditions that can help you remember and nurture your connection with each other
  • How to parent well when you or your family is in crisis… including de-escalation and decision making
  • What to do when your philosophies clash and how to identify and move towards common goals
  • Bringing levity and play into small moments of your life/ day/ relationship

My husband and I recently took Kirsten’s class. We had never taken a parenting class before, but were entering into a transitional time for all of us as my son started kindergarten.  Kirsten’s compassionate, playful and insightful understanding of children and their parents was nothing short of relieving for us!!  We could suddenly comprehend, appreciate and have tools to deal with our son’s day-to-day excitements and frustrations.  She helped us to get out of our own way and be the kind of parents we knew we could be.  Now we have the free attention to really enjoy this age and the precious time we have with our little one, while he’s still little!
