Parenting in today’s society can be stressful. Often that stress impacts our relationships. It’s hard to find time to meet the emotional and physical needs of our children, take care of bills and home, have time for work and some semblance of a social life, take care of our own health, and somehow fit in time to connect as a couple!
You can get on the same page, raise your kids, and nurture your relationship at the same time.

Learn MoreLoving Your Adolescent – Staying Hopeful, Staying Connected
Sunday, August 3, 2025, 2:00 – 4:00p
In-person Nyack, NY
You are a good parent. Your teen/ tween is a good kid. Really. It can be hard to remember when things start to shift in adolescence. Adolescent life in our society is far from easy. T(w)eens often blame themselves for the troubles they experience. When that is too painful, they can become angry or moody with us, have trouble concentrating on tasks, or shut themselves away as they retreat into towers of isolation. But we don’t have to let them stay at such a distance from us. Teens and tweens need their parents to reach out for genuine connection.
We can find doors into their world. We can learn to stay thoughtful and present through the most intense of their feelings. We can love this amazing time of their life.
Parenting Consultations or Listening Sessions available upon request
Added support for you on this parenting journey
Parenting is rewarding and often really hard work. Good parents sometimes need extra support. I am available for a limited number of in person sessions, while I am in the Nyack area during the weekends of July 5 & 6, and August 2 & 3. I may also be in the area a day before or after those dates. I also have some zoom openings outside of those dates.
Kirsten is one of the most talented parent educators I’ve worked with. Her ability to listen and respect caregivers really comes through in her presentations. Her wealth of knowledge and her compassion for the work of parenting are her trademarks.
