Dad’s Workshop, In Person, Nyack NY

Dad’s Workshop, In Person, Nyack NY

Sunday, August 3, 10:00a – 1:00p

This class is part of my IN PERSON Summer series in the Nyack, New York area.
Location to be shared upon registration

This class is for any parent who identifies as a father. This will be a great follow up after Saturday’s half day workshop, but it is not necessary that you attended.

It doesn’t always happen that dads get to gather to be with each other… specifically as Dads. This workshop is a space for you guys! You’ll have time to talk about the challenges, the joys, the worries of being a father, time to appreciate how your family is thriving, and time to notice what you want.

Topics we’ll cover in this 3 hour workshop:

  • What you want/ hope your role to be as a parent and how it’s the same/ different than your father
  • Dispelling the lie of dad as the secondary parent
  • Applying the Hand in Hand Parenting tools to build a more connected relationship with your child/ren and understand their (and your) behavior better
  • How to muster the energy to engage when it feels like you just don’t have it
  • What to do when children get aggressive (verbally or physically)
  • Play, why it’s important, why it feels hard, competitiveness, and how to bring more play into your relationship with your child/ren
  • Setting limits with respect and love
  • Partnership… how’s that going?

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m so glad I found your class. It’s made a world of difference in the way that the kids and I interact.
