Parenting Triggers: Why We “Lose It” (yell, check out, get brain fog, … ) and How We Can Get it Back
Saturday, November 15, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
IN PERSON Green Meadow Waldorf School, Chestnut Ridge, NY
When parents and caregivers get stressed, angry, or scared, we can get triggered and say or do things we regret or revert to patterns that we swore we didn’t want to pass on to our kids. Usually we associate being “triggered” with getting angry, but triggers can show up in many ways… snapping, yelling, shutting down, going numb, cloudy thinking, inability to make decisions, etc.
This class offers a deeper understanding of why this happens and strategies for shifting this dynamic both in the moment and how to get at the root causes for long term change.

IN PERSON Green Meadow Waldorf School, Chestnut Ridge, NY
This class is for any parent who identifies as a father.
It’s a great thing when dads get together. Most of the dads I know say they don’t have enough time with other fathers to reflect and get support on the Good, the Bad, the Ugly of parenting. This workshop is time for you to be able to notice and be proud of your successes as a parent, and get some answers for tricky spots in your day to day dad life.

Added support for you on this parenting journey
Parenting is rewarding and often really hard work. Good parents and caregivers sometimes need extra support. I am available for a limited number of IN PERSON consultations while I am in the Nyack/ Chestnut Ridge area afternoon of November 14 – November 16. I also have some zoom openings outside of those dates.
Kirsten is one of the most talented parent educators I’ve worked with. Her ability to listen and respect caregivers really comes through in her presentations. Her wealth of knowledge and her compassion for the work of parenting are her trademarks.
